Licensed Electrical Contractor

Yes, We Do That Too

We're a licensed electrical contractor — and we don't just do large custom builds. From fixing a flickering light to a full 200A service upgrade, from hanging a ceiling fan to wiring a new construction build. If it involves electricity, we handle it. CEC 26th Edition compliant. Nova Scotia licensed.

From Simple Fixes to Smart-Home Ready

Need a light switch replaced? We've got you. Building a 5,000 sq ft custom home? We've got that too. No job is too small, and no project is too complex.

Standard Electrician

Pulls Romex to meet code minimums. One Cat5e to the router closet. No pre-wire for audio, cameras, or shading. Panel gets whatever breakers fit. Retrofit later costs 5-10x more than doing it right the first time.

AV Integrator Only

Low-voltage pre-wire without understanding the electrical side. Speaker wire and Cat6 show up, but lighting circuits aren't designed for dimming, panel isn't sized for future loads, and no one coordinated with the electrician. Gaps appear at commissioning.

Wadden Electric

One team designs and installs both sides — high-voltage and low-voltage. Lighting circuits sized for Lutron dimmers. Cat6A to every room. Speaker pre-wire planned in coordination with the audio design. Panel configured for Savant smart breakers. Conduit for future expansion. Everything coordinated before drywall.

Everyday Electrical Services

Not every call is a luxury build. We handle the small stuff — quickly, professionally, and at fair prices.

Troubleshooting

Flickering lights, tripping breakers, dead outlets — we diagnose and fix it.

Light Fixtures

Hanging chandeliers, replacing fixtures, installing pot lights, under-cabinet LED.

Ceiling Fans

Install, replace, or add a fan where one doesn't exist. We run the wire and hang it properly.

Outlets & Switches

Adding outlets, USB receptacles, outdoor plugs, dimmer switches, GFCI upgrades.

Panel Work

Breaker replacements, circuit additions, panel labeling, surge protector installation.

Smoke & CO Detectors

Hardwired detector installation and replacement. Code-compliant placement.

New Construction

Build It Right From Day One

New construction is the one chance to get the infrastructure right without cutting open walls later. We coordinate with your builder and architect from the design phase — planning every circuit, every low-voltage run, and every conduit pathway before framing begins.

Our team handles both the electrical rough-in and the low-voltage pre-wire in a single mobilization. That means lighting circuits are designed for your Lutron system, cat runs land exactly where the Araknis access points will mount, and speaker wire arrives at the ceiling locations your audio designer specified — not "close enough."

Structured Cabling

Cat6A to every room, media location, and access point. Speaker wire for distributed audio. Camera home runs to the network rack. HDMI conduit for displays. All terminated and tested.

Lighting Circuit Design

Circuits separated by room and function — designed for Lutron dimmers, not just code minimums. Dedicated circuits for under-cabinet, pendants, and recessed cans. Neutral wires at every switch box.

Panel Architecture

200A+ panels with spare capacity. Circuit layout organized by zone. Designed for Savant Power smart breaker retrofit. Clearly labeled, properly spaced, and inspection-ready.

Conduit Future-Proofing

1" conduit runs between key locations — attic to basement, panel to rack, exterior for future EV or generator. Costs almost nothing during construction but saves thousands in retrofit.

Outdoor Infrastructure

Landscape lighting feeds, hot tub circuits, pool equipment, outdoor kitchen power, and bollard conduit — all stubbed and ready before the landscaper arrives.

Coordination with Trades

We work directly with your builder, HVAC, plumber, and drywall teams. Pre-wire inspection before close-in. No conflicts, no surprises, no "we missed that."

Renovations & Upgrades

Smart Upgrades to Existing Homes

Renovations are where electrical expertise matters most. Existing wiring, limited access, and unknown conditions demand careful planning. We assess what you have, design what you need, and execute the upgrade without disrupting your daily life more than necessary.

Whether you're adding a Lutron lighting system to a 1990s colonial, upgrading a 100A panel to 200A for an EV charger, or running Cat6A through finished walls for a whole-home network, we've solved these problems hundreds of times in Halifax-area homes.

Panel Upgrades

100A to 200A+ upgrades. NSPI coordination for overhead or underground service. Federal Pioneer and Zinsco panel replacements for safety. Arc-fault breakers where required by current code.

Retrofit Wiring

Low-voltage through finished walls — Cat6A, speaker wire, camera feeds — using fishing rods and minimal drywall disruption. Years of experience in older Halifax homes.

Knob-and-Tube Remediation

Older Halifax homes may still have knob-and-tube wiring. We assess, report, and replace it with modern NMD90 while maintaining your home's character.

Kitchen & Bath Rewiring

Dedicated 20A circuits for countertop receptacles. GFCI protection. Under-cabinet lighting circuits. Exhaust fan circuits. Code-compliant and Lutron-ready.

Specialty Installations

Beyond Standard Electrical

Hot Tubs & Saunas

Dedicated 240V circuits with GFCI protection, properly sized conductors, and disconnect switches. We coordinate with your hot tub vendor for exact electrical requirements and schedule NSPI inspection.

Pool Equipment

Pool pumps, heaters, lighting, and automation. CEC Section 68 compliant. Bonding, grounding, and GFCI requirements specific to pool installations in Nova Scotia.

Workshop & Garage

Sub-panels for detached garages and workshops. 240V circuits for welders, compressors, and EV chargers. LED lighting upgrades. Properly sized feeders for the load.

Landscape Lighting Feeds

Dedicated circuits and weatherproof junction boxes for landscape lighting systems. Transformer locations coordinated with your lighting designer. Conduit stubs from the panel to exterior.

Electrical Service Calls

Things break. Circuits trip. Lights flicker. When they do, you want a licensed electrician who shows up on time, diagnoses accurately, and fixes it right.

Troubleshooting

Intermittent faults, tripping breakers, flickering lights, dead circuits, and phantom loads. Systematic diagnosis with proper test equipment — not guesswork.

Emergency Repairs

Power loss, sparking outlets, burning smells, water-damaged panels. Fast, reliable response for urgent electrical safety issues in the Halifax-Dartmouth area.

Code Corrections

Pre-sale inspections, insurance requirements, and code violations from previous work. We assess, document, and correct to current CEC 26th Edition standards.

Smoke & CO Detectors

Hardwired, interconnected smoke and CO detectors meeting current code requirements. Battery backup. Proper placement per CEC and building code.
